A distinguished harvest of the National Information Technology Day activities at Nalut University.

The Nalut University witnessed a distinguished technological celebration on Monday, June 1, 2026, by hosting the annual events of the "National Information Technology Day" at the auditorium of the Nalut Medical Technology College. This celebration aligns with the extensive digital movement taking place in more than 25 Libyan cities to enhance digital culture, support innovation, and open promising career horizons for youth in the fields of technology and cybersecurity.

The event was attended by high-level officials and had wide participation befitting the university's status, with the presence of the university president, the vice president for academic affairs, the vice president for administrative and financial affairs, the deans of the colleges, and the registrar.

And the esteemed directors of the departments, offices, and centers at the university.

There was also a distinguished presence of staff, faculty members, and students from various colleges.

A group of experts, specialized companies, and individuals interested in shaping the digital future.

Highlights of the event's segments and program:

The events began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, the university president, in which he emphasized the importance of keeping up with digital transformation. This was followed by a series of scientific lectures, specialized workshops, and technical advertising platforms as follows:

First: Scientific Lectures and Technical Workshops:

Lecture (AI tools in academic research): Presented by Ms. Saida Al-Jarbi, it discussed artificial intelligence tools in academic research.

Virtual Lecture (Online): About "Digital Currencies" presented by Ms. Jouri Al-Ghamdi (Trainer and Investor Growth Specialist) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Engineering Innovations: A presentation providing a comprehensive overview of the projects of the Electrical Engineering Department at Jadu Engineering College, presented by Eng. Abdul Aziz Jamaa.

Lecture (Technology and Training T&T): Presented by Mr. Faraj Jumaa Mohammed Abousta representing (Comprehensive Software - CAD Center Libya).

Specialized workshop: titled "Mastering Academic Writing and Scientific Research Using LaTeX" presented by Dr. Abdul Nasser Akaf for preparing scientific papers to the highest global standards.

Panel Discussion: Addressed "The Protection and Security of Citizens' Sensitive Information Between Reality and What It Should Be" presented by Eng. Omar Lalah and Mr. Riad Jurnaz.

Secondly: The Digital Advertising and Launch Platform (specific to the University and City of Nalut):

Launch of the digital library system at Nalut University, presented by Mr. Ramadan Askar.

Announcement of the birth of the first robotics team in Nalut, presented by Mr. Abdul Qayyum Al-Muqaddami and Mr. Iyad Suleiman.

Third: Interactive segments and the public conclusion:

The technical day was filled with enthusiastic and competitive atmospheres through three rounds of the interactive Kahoot competition that renewed the passion of the attendees, in addition to a segment for drawing "You and Your Luck" slips.

The celebration concluded with the opening of the accompanying technical exhibition, where the attendees and participants took a free tour to observe the outstanding creative projects of a select group of students from the Colleges of Engineering and Medical Technology, in addition to the innovative practical and robotic systems and applications.

The administration of Nalut University extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to all the organizing committees, speakers, participants, and esteemed attendees who contributed to enriching this distinguished scientific event and supporting the talents of our creative youth.
