In a spiritual atmosphere filled with tranquility and dignity, the auditorium of the Faculty of Education in Nalut hosted the closing ceremony of the first Quran memorization competition on the morning of Wednesday, April 15, 2026, held under the slogan "Recite."
In a framework that reflects the spirit of partnership and successful institutional work, the Office for Supporting and Empowering Women at the university oversaw the organization of this event, in collaboration with the University Activities Administration and the Activities Department at Nalut College of Education.
The honor of the event was graced by the presence of:
• Prof. Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan | President of Nalut University.
• Mr. Mohamed Farid Jurnaz | Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
• Mr. Riad Suleiman Jernaz | Dean of the Faculty of Education, Nalut.
• Ms. Salma Ali Barqiq | Director of the Office for Support and Empowerment of Women at the University.
• Mr. Rami Nuri Akiz | Director of University Activities Department.
• Mr. Miloud Zakaria Al-Azabi, President of the Faculty Members Association at the university.
• Sheikh / Abdul Qadir Muhammad Al-Basir | Member of the Arbitration Committee from the Al-Istiqamah Foundation for the Quran and its Sciences in Nalut.
In addition to a group of faculty members, staff, and invited guests interested in cultural and religious affairs.
The events began with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by student Abdul Rahman Barqik, followed by the playing of the national anthem. The program also included speeches that emphasized the importance of supporting Quranic activities, delivered by the Dean of the college, the Office for the Support and Empowerment of Women, and the judging committee.
The ceremony concluded with the announcement of the results and the honoring of the winners, as well as the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participants, the judging panel, and the organizers. The results were as follows:

The honoring was not limited to the "Ratel" competition alone, but the ceremony also included:
• Honoring the participants in the "Memorable Women" competition for 2025 in appreciation of their contributions.
• Honoring student Basma and Ragh for achieving second place in the university-level drawing competition.
