On Martyrs' Day celebration.. My town Nalut launches the books "The Martyrs in Nalut" and "The Stars Do Not Extinguish," unforgettable personalities by Dr. Salma Barqiq.

In conjunction with the commemoration of the national occasion "Martyrs' Day," which falls on September 16 of each year, the hall of the martyr Khalifa bin Askar in the city of Nalut hosted a high-level official and cultural celebration organized by the Nalut Municipal Council on the morning of Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The celebration witnessed the launch of the new edition, the revised and expanded second edition of the documentary book "The Martyrs in Nalut," authored by Dr. Salma Amro Moussa Barqiq, a faculty member at the Faculty of Education in Nalut at Nalut University, alongside the launch of the book "The Stars Do Not Extinguish: Unforgettable Psychological Characters."
The event was held in the presence of the Mayor of Nalut, Mr. Majdi Muhammad Baghni, members of the municipal council, the President of Nalut University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Masoud Qnan, along with the Director of the Martyrs' Families Office in Nalut, the Commander of the Sixth Force, and the Commander of the National Mobile Force, in addition to a large gathering of military and security leaders, academics, researchers, those interested in historical and documentary affairs, and the families of the martyrs and invited guests.
At the conclusion of the celebration, several copies of the two books were distributed to the attendees, including the sheikhs, dignitaries of the city, interested parties, and guests, in appreciation of their presence and to document this cherished occasion.
The attendees emphasized in their speeches the importance of documenting the national and historical memory of the city and the sacrifices of its sons, praising the academic and field efforts made by Dr. Salma Barqik and all those involved in producing these important documentary works that commemorate the heroes' sacrifices.
"This documentation aims to commemorate the sacrifices of the people of Nalut who gave their lives in defense of the homeland during the February 17 Revolution. It also seeks to highlight the esteemed status of martyrdom in Islam and to connect the sacrifices of the mountain's sons to the liberation and historical struggle of the nation."
