As part of the activities of the "First International Conference: Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami - The Knowledge and Struggle Journey Between Homeland and Exile," the main hall of the Al-Istiqaama Foundation witnessed a distinguished scientific evening on Friday, June 19, 2026, embodying the values of academic communication and building bridges of cooperation between scientific and community elites.
We were honored this evening to be led and managed by Dr. Khalid Said Tafouchet, the chairman of the scientific committee for the conference and an assistant professor at the College of Sharia Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman, who conducted the session with high professionalism that enriched the meeting.
The evening included a rich discussion session, in which participated:

A group of department directors and board members of the Al-Istiqaama Foundation, along with several civil society organizations from Jebel Nafusa and Zuwara, as well as esteemed elders and dignitaries from the region who were keen to attend and participate.
The evening was characterized by an international and regional atmosphere, with the participation of a select group of esteemed researchers and guests from the Sultanate of Oman, Tunisia, and Algeria, alongside a cohort of academics and researchers from various Libyan universities, who enriched the meeting with their valuable discussions and knowledge exchange.
This event comes as a confirmation of the role of scientific institutions as a beacon of knowledge and a meeting point for cultures, and as a diligent effort to enhance partnerships that serve the interests of the student, the researcher, and the nation, while highlighting the scientific, intellectual, and literary legacy of Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami.
