Nalut University’s participation in the Seventh International Conference on Computing, Networking and Internet of Things (CNIOT)

The participation of Nalut University in the 7th International Conference on Computing, Networks, and the Internet of Things (CNIOT), which was held in the city of Guangzhou, China.

The College of Information Technology, representing Nalut University, participated in the seventh edition of the International Conference on Computing, Networks and Internet of Things (CNIOT2026), which was held in Guangzhou from May 22 to 24, 2026. The conference was organized by Sun Yat-sen University, ranked 65th in the world in the Shanghai Global Ranking, and was sponsored and technically supported by Zhejiang University of Technology, the CSSC Laboratory at the university, and the IEEE section in Guangzhou.

The conference witnessed wide international participation, where the participating team, represented by faculty members, presented:

• Dr. Ibrahim Ali Shati

• Mr. Mohamed Farid Jurnaz

• Mr. Riad Suleiman Jurnaz

• Mr. Adel Suleiman Arafa

Through the (Zoom Meeting) application, a joint scientific paper titled:

Green AI Integration for Secure and Sustainable IoT Communications in Wi-Fi 7 Networks: A Comparative Review

This paper presents a comprehensive comparative review of the integration of green artificial intelligence for secure and sustainable communications for the Internet of Things in Wi-Fi 7 networks, through the analysis of 20 recent studies (2023-2025). The paper also proposes a new classification for energy-efficient artificial intelligence technologies and evaluates the key trade-offs between energy efficiency, security, and performance. Looking to the future, the paper outlines an ambitious roadmap targeting AI-enhanced Wi-Fi 7 protocols to align with sixth-generation (6G) networks, as well as hybrid green artificial intelligence alongside blockchain to enhance security, dual digital integration with energy consumption, and unified learning frameworks that address carbon emissions—all paving the way for environmentally friendly, resilient, and self-sustaining Internet of Things ecosystems for a more environmentally conscious future.

This participation is considered a scientific achievement for Nalut University and a confirmation of Libya's honorable representation in major scientific forums, where all accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion in (IEEE Xplore). Additionally, the proceedings of the (CNIOT) conference will be submitted for indexing in major global citation databases, including (Scopus), (Ei Compendex), and (CPCI), among others, based on IEEE's indexing policy.

This achievement is expected to enhance the university's ranking and support its position both locally and internationally.
