In a scientific and intellectual atmosphere filled with pride for our national figures, the first international conference titled: "Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami.. The Knowledge and Struggle Journey Between Homeland and Exile" was launched this morning, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Mujahid Khalifa bin Askar Hall in the city of Nalut. The event is organized by the Al-Istiqama Foundation for the Quran and its Sciences in collaboration with the Faculty of Education at Nalut University.
The opening session witnessed a high-level attendance, led by:
Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan: President of Nalut University.
Mr. Salem Masoud Qnan: Member of Parliament for the Nalut district.
Mr. Shaaban Ali Abou Steh: Member of the State Council for the Nalut District
Mr. Maher Mohammed Lshahab: Chairman of the Board of the Al-Istiqamah Foundation for the Quran and Its Sciences.
Mr. Ahmed Yahya Al-Mashaiq: Acting Mayor of Nalut.

A group of friends of the struggle for the march of Dr. Amr Al-Nami and the sheikhs and notables of the region.
A select group of academics, intellectuals, and representatives from civil society organizations from various Libyan cities.
A select group of researchers from Libyan universities, along with researchers from sister countries (Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco), will participate in the conference. To ensure the widest scientific participation, the scientific sessions will be held in person for participants from within Libya and remotely for researchers from outside the country.
The conference aims to:
Providing an in-depth analytical reading of Dr. Al-Nami's intellectual and academic trajectory.
Documenting his struggle experience.
Highlighting the Libyan intellectual memory within a serious and robust academic project.
This exceptional scientific event embodies the role of academic and community institutions in reviving national memory and celebrating the pioneers and thinkers who have left an indelible mark on our history.
