Outstanding scientific participation of Nalut University in the Fig Festival at the Castle (second edition)
As part of the commitment of Nalut University to enhance its role in serving the community and supporting scientific and cultural events that highlight agricultural heritage and national products, Dr. Nagy Al-Hadi Aburas (Director of the Scientific Research and Consulting Center at the university) participated on Friday, August 14, 2026, by delivering a valuable scientific lecture as part of the accompanying lecture program for the Fig Festival - the second edition, which was held under the auspices of the General Authority for Exhibitions and the Municipality of the Castle under the slogan "The Taste of Nature.. A Heritage Renewed."
The lecture titled "Libyan Fig: A Nutritional and Health Value Worth Exploring" highlighted the health and nutritional benefits of Libyan figs as a natural functional food that enhances immunity and overall health, in addition to emphasizing the importance of caring for this authentic agricultural heritage and supporting local products and processing industries.
This participation comes to affirm the active presence of Nalut University in scientific and public forums, and its ongoing commitment to raising health and scientific awareness in various municipalities of the region.
