Nalut University concludes its participation in the third session of the International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Green Technologies held in the city of Jerjis, Tunisia, from October 26 to 30, 2026.

The University of Nalut, represented by the Jadu Engineering College and the Nalut Information Technology College, concluded its international participation in the IEEE International Multi-Conference on Smart Systems & Green Process (SSGP’26).

and which the university is considered one of its sponsors, with a research paper titled:

Direct vs. Indirect AI-Driven QoS Prediction for Multimedia Traffic: An Empirical Comparison of Accuracy and Interpretability

Presented by Professor Tahani Issa Al-Qunsul, a faculty member at the Faculty of Engineering in Jadu, via Zoom Meeting.

This paper compares direct and indirect forecasting methods for assessing Quality of Service (QoS) using linear regression models, fuzzy inference, and MLP technique. The system analyzes approximately 14,162 samples of VoIP and video services from MPLS and SD-WAN test environments against the ITU-T G.107E reference model.

The results show that direct forecasting methods, particularly linear regression and MLP, provide higher accuracy, while the independent predictive value of the lag is limited. The research highlights the efficiency of linear regression in training speed and recommends further validation through self-quality assessments.

At the conclusion of the conference activities, Professor Tahani Al-Qunsul was awarded a certificate of participation in recognition of her remote scientific research contribution. Dr. Ibrahim Shatti was also awarded a certificate of participation and another for chairing one of the scientific sessions, in addition to Professor Riad Jurnaz receiving a certificate of participation for his contribution to a joint scientific paper.

This participation confirms the scientific competencies of Nalut University and reflects Libya's honorable representation internationally. It is worth noting that the accepted scientific papers at this conference will be published in prestigious global platforms such as IEEE Xplore and Scopus, which enhances the university's ranking and supports its status both locally and internationally.
